Hey, everyone, this is something I've been trying to get together for a long time.

Warning: I am obsessed with samurai. Anything about that culture has long enchanted me. This is the first tribute to Nightmaya's samurai artwork. Nightmaya is an artist whose samurai art entranced me as soon as I found her. The detail, elegance, and power leaves me speechless. (I love her dark prince themed pieces, too.) Check her out if you haven't. I am so glad she let me do this, and I hope this fits her expectations.

I went looking for actual poems written by the historical samurai before they died for a final touch to the theme. I hope you enjoy my find. I was especially pleased to find this one by one of the "Three Unifiers" Toyotomi Hideyoshi. He's one of my favorite samurai in the Sengoku Jidai (The Warring States Period).
