*breathes* I made it, Barely.

This is my entry for Kira's contest, Nighttime Fantasy. I was soo thrilled she made a contest about this and I wish I had time to do another entry. Still, I am quite pleased how this one came out. I chose to do a wallpaper of intrigue and complications because those two words cover my dreams quite well. My detailed dreams give me at least two thirds of my book ideas. Intrigue is particularly fun to play with, and I love how it is portrayed in Vampire Knight, especially in the latest chapters.

In the wallpaper, Kaname is in the shadows and Yuuki is by his side. On the other hand, Yuuki's Artemis is shining a light on Zero. Kaien keeps a close eye on Sara, who continues to plot in the shadows. Takuma is in the reflection of Artemis, tormented by the choices before him.

The text is a bit of thoughts and spoken challenges.

This took a long time. I started the first draft before the contest, but I redid most of it today. Getting the shadows and highlights on the chessboard took hours.
