And here's my entry for Bleachic's contest, which I'm finally uploading. I've had it done for a while. >.>
Anyways, onward to paragraph!
The song I chose, Brad Paisley's 'Southern Comfort Zone', is one of the few songs that I've really connected to; there's a lot of songs I like, for various reasons but hardly none that hit me deep inside. When I first heard it, I cried and sometimes even now, I'll cry singing along.
Because, even though I'm not a Southerner: 'I can't see this world unless I go, outside my Southern Comfort Zone.'
'I have walked the streets of Rome, I have been to foreign lands, I know what it's like to talk, and have nobody understand.'
'I know what it's like, to be the only one like me, to take a good hard look around and be in the minority.'
'But I've since become a drifter and I just can't wait to pack, cause I know the road I leave on, it will always bring me back.'
I've not walked the streets of Rome, but I've been overseas, I know the feeling of being surrounded by people who you have no idea what they're saying. To be a fair white girl in Little Havana, Miami; to be the only person, like me.
As to why I picked Ezio for this....because I think he understood those feelings too, especially being in Turkey and Syria in Revelations, so I felt it was fitting.
So even if you don't like country music, listen to this song at least once.
