I was going to wait to upload this wallpaper but in honor of Sailor Moon Crystal premiering tomorrow I decided why wait?
The 2nd senshi in my SM wallpaper series, Sailor Jupiter.
Back when I watched Sailor Moon she was my favorite. I admired her abilities to cook, be strong, defend herself, and most of all be a tough sailor Senshi. Her name is Makato Kino. She goes to the same school as Ami, Usagi, and Minako. Rei goes to a different school. Anyways, Sailor Jupiter is the senshi of thunder and has some element with nature. I remember her attack where an antenna would come out of her tiara and emit thunder. It was so cool. I hope she is just as powerful and amazing in the newest Sailor Moon.
In the wallpaper I tried to focus on the lightening and the natureish aspect of Sailor Jupiter. This came out a bit darker than I liked but it actually works. I used a variety of textures and hanging stars to create a unique background. And of course the new art render of Jupiter in the foreground. To say a bit more I used a photoshop action to give it this green night look (linked above) and made some of my own as well for this wallpaper. Overall I like how it turned out. Added extra emphasis on a background image of Makato for drama and to fill in the background more.
I hope everybody likes how this came out. Sailor Mars is up next. Look for that one soon. :)

This is sort of a late dedication for your birthday. Its really late I'm sorry. I have another wallpaper planned for you. But in the mean time you seem to resemble Sailor Jupiter because you're strong and a good friend. I hope you like this wallpaper and hope we can get to know each other better.
Also I would like to wish everybody a Happy 4th of July and Independence Day!
