True love is a wonderful thing, but what if your love doesn't love you back? That's what I thought when I first saw the AmorChallenge. So I wanted to make a wallie that showed the one-sided side of love, because for some that is their love. I didn't decide until I inked her if she was actually going to be Ariel or not. I wanted to do more toward the original version of the story but ended up using my own variant design for Ariel. I think people forget that in the original story, before Disney made his movie, the mermaid didn't get the prince and turned to foam!
