Wow, where to even begin on this one? Well, first off I'll say that this turned out to be a lot more challenging then I ever thought it would be from the start. For one, it felt like a scavenger hunt for the images, considering there just aren't that many good ones out there from this series (manga or anime). That was part of what influenced the whole layout of it in an effort to make it work (OMG, it ended up being a lot of links for this ^^;)
A major thanks for Judai Winchester for her advice and helping me with some of the background too. That ended up being another hurdle that took me a few hours to get to where I actually liked it. I also found myself struggling with the text too, and ended up using a kind of neon effect with purple to (somewhat) represent Kuranosuke's eyes. The gold in it really felt like it fit with the character's personality too, considering he's quite glamarous. It ended up being a real pain to blend for quite a while, but somehow it did come out.
As for the inspiration, I'll start off by saying that Confident is one of my favorite Demi Lovato songs, not to mention she's one of my favorite artists. I happened to be listening to it one day when I was reading this manga (Princess Jellyfish), and I couldn't help but think that it fit this character so well. Kuranosuke is very confident, especially in female mode. Thus I started brainstorming this. It took me quite a while to put it together, but for the most part, I like the end result, and I hope everyone else does too.
