Here's my entry for the Memories challenge. For this entry, I decided to go with the memories of playing the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game with this old friend of mine from high school. We'd usually get together at my place at least once or twice a month and play a few duels. I'd usually be the one to win because... well, to be perfectly honest he wasn't that good. But we both had fun, regardless. The reason we'd only get together once or twice a month to duel though was because he lived out of town. I haven't seen this friend of mine in ages. We both took this special graphic arts program that the local college was doing for high school students, but I think he ended up going into accounting.
I guess that the reason I chose these particular memories to use for the wallpaper is because I've been reading the original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga again this month. Anyway, I ended up trying a few different things with this particular wallpaper. For one thing, I reduced the main image of Yugi and the other protagonists quite a bit, though that was mainly to get it to fit better with the background image. As for the background, I went with that because it was the only scan I could find that really accommodated Yusei's D-Wheel, and because I wanted the wallpaper to have a "homey" feel to it.
I may do another entry for this challenge later that covers a more specific memory of mine. In the meantime, enjoy.
