Now where do I even begin with this one? I had a relatively simplish idea in mind that was going to kind of be my own version of Kita-chan's wallpaper. But it ended up turning into this very elaborate project. Can I just say that I Photoshopped the bloody Hell out of this? This is probably one of my more complicated wallpapers to date although I'm sure there are a few I've done in the past that may have been harder than this one....who knows?
Basically the idea behind this wallpaper was inspired by Kita Mikichi's wallpaper. I guess I wanted to challenge myself and try to create an "environment" for the characters.
Pokemon was one of my first animes after Sailor Moon. I grew up watching Ash's adventures with his Pikachu, Misty, and Brock. Of course Team Rocket was there too, always with their plans foiled, and blasting off again. Even to this day I don't get tired of that part. I just love these characters because they feel like they were my first anime friends and spirit animals.
I put a lot of pixel sprite flowers in the wallpaper to try to reflect the feeling of the original Pokemon games. There was always those cute flowers in random places that kind of danced, it was cute. Also put a few of my favorite Pokemon in the scene as well. And yes I know Slyveon isn't in the original generation but Sylveon because Sylveon. ^W^
Overall this project took me around 3 hours to complete, layers ended up being around 40-50+ with everything. Grass is made from Photoshop brush, road is a render I found on Google. So yeah, overall pretty satisfied with how this turned out.
Hope everybody enjoys this wallpaper. Dedicated to Kita Mikichi who's wallpaper inspired this one.
