Art Deco - Lana Del Rey
----------
HELLO I'M SO EMBARRASSED WITH THIS CAPTION ALREADY... I just wanted to try to be ~cool~ and ~artsy~, like how the other cool wallpaper people title and caption their wallpapers, but I uh. I don't normally do this, so I feel like a weird poser. And this isn't even like a real wallpaper, it's just... a drawing of Lafayette........ The lyrics aren't even necessarily related to this drawing in particular, they just remind me of Lafayette in general;;;
ANYWAY YEAH, I'm just gonna continue the rest of this caption like I normally would. I drew this thing of adult-age Lafayette late last night, and I'm pretty happy with how it came out! I decided to temporarily use this as my laptop background because i'm conceited I've had my laptop set to the default bg for the past year or so and I needed to change it. :M
I was listening to Lana Del Rey's album Honeymoon while I was drawing this. I know Lana's been around for several years, but I only just started listening to her music maybe 6 or so months ago, ahah;; Honeymoon is kind of slow and dramatic, but it has an interesting tone to it when I'm in the mood to listen to it. Lafayette himself actually really doesn't like Lana Del Rey (he thinks her music's pretentious and fake-edgy or something), but a lot of her songs actually remind me of Lafayette, haha. xD;
On a totally different note, I still feel kind of bad about making Lafayette smoke in canon (rather than just in the 1920s au)...... i love drawing the smoking aesthetic though. (TERRIBLE) I'm pretty sure cigarettes do not give off that much smoke in the real world, tho.
My intial colors for this were actually kinda different, but I ended up slapping some overlays and fiddling with the hue/saturation until it turned out like this. I think it looks better kind of dulled out like this. :^D
Anyway. Idk where I'm going with this. Here's a wallpaper I guess.
