A wallpaper featuring the seven super-heroes who founded the Justice League of America (also known as simply "JLA" and "Justice League") from the DC Universe in its 1st timeline reboot incarnation (better known as the "Silver Age DCU" and "Bronze Age DCU"), the Earth-One of the Pre-Crisis Multiverse that is.
Things to know about JLA in case some of you don't follow DCU canon.rn-The team first appeared in The Brave and the Bold (Vol. 1) No. 28 (cover dated March 1960).rn-It's the premier super-hero team within the timeline of the DCU in its Silver Age publication era incarnation.rn-Due to the events of the 1985 comic book limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths, the the DCU faced another timeline reboot, becoming the Post-Crisis New Earth (better known as the "Modern Age DCU") with both JSA (the premier super-hero team of the Golden Age DCU) and JLA co-existing in the same timeline, only for the records of the JLA activities of Batman and Superman, and Wonder Woman before the Crisis itself to be erased with Dinah Laurel Lance/Black Canary being the team's female founding member within that timeline. Additionally, while the JSA was the first super-hero team to debut according to that timeline's 1st super-hero era (referred to as "1G" or "Golden Age of superheroics"), the JLA was the first super-hero team to debut in the 2nd super-hero era (referred to as "2G" or "Silver Age of superheroics"), which began with Superman's debut and ended with the Crisis).rn-By the way end of Infinite Crisis, the DCU's Post-Infinite Crisis/Pre-Flashpoint incarnation (called "Earth-0") was born with the founding member statuses of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman being reinstated in history. rn-According to the comic book maxiseries Doomsday Clock, Dr. Manhattan of the Watchmen Universe messed with history of the DCU in its Post-Infinite Crisis/Pre-Flashpoint incarnation (called "Earth-0"), giving birth to that universe's New 52 incarnation (labelled as "Earth 0") and drastically altering Justice League history with "Justice League" and "Justice of League of America" referring to separate teams; Justice League founded by Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern Hal Jordan, Aquaman, and Cyborg with Justice League of America being founded by Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter, Catwoman, Katana, Stargirl, Vibe, Green Lantern Simon Baz, and Hawkman. Additionally, the JSA never existed in Earth 0's timeline, making the Justice League the premier super-hero in its history.rn-Due to the merger of Earth 0 and the variant of Earth-0 whose Superman is father to Jon Lane Kent/Superboy III (seen in the multipart comic book storyline "Superman Reborn"), Justice League history was again revised with Martian Manhunter among founders of Superman's Justice League.rn-Due to Dr. Manhattan's attempt to reverse his history-changing actions in Doomsday Clock, Justice League history was again revised with the JSA's existence being reinstated, revising the Justice League back to being the premier super-hero of the 2G era. Additionally, Wonder Woman's JSA activities were brought back into history after being erased by the DCU's 1st timeline reboot though with some alterations (ex: her debuting before the JSA's establishment) while her Justice League activities continued to remain accounted for (and still do currently). rn-The timeline reset in DC's Generations resulted in the JSA activities of Superman and Batman being brought back into history after being erased by the DCU's first reboot while their activities as Justice League members are still being accounted for.rnrnrnImage sources: Comics Alliance, Crivens!
