Happy Holidays!

May you be full of cheer and not get trolled :)

Since it's been a long time, here are some of my famous "quick updates" - I'll LOAD IT UP because of the length of time in-between posts. I'm sure you'll all be super-fascinated by these ramblings :)

  • THEOTAKU: As you know I want to revamp the main page as well as the main pages of our sub-sites. I also see a ton of potential in video. But what kind of video? Anime episodes/movies? Art tutorial videos? Original shows? I don't know...
  • NIMBLE STRONG: It was launched on July 4th, so it's been out about 6 months. So far sales are very meh, it's going to take me a loooooong time, if ever, to recoup the money I put into it (not even counting the time). BUT I won't give up on it yet, the next 6 months could be great, you never know.
  • PHYSICAL: My kickboxing teacher told me that I need to take up jump roping because I have trouble getting up on my toes. It may be because I'm flat-footed and have big feet to boot. So I got a jump rope for Xmas :). I sometimes feel like the clumsiest person in my class despite the fact I have a lot more experience than others...
  • FOOD: My doctor told me that drinking V8 is a good way to sneak in a serving of vegetables. I also need to start eating more regular/better breakfast.
  • GAMING: I LOVE Game Dev Story on the iPhone, it's incredibly addicting. I'm stuck somewhere in Dragon Quest 9 and that's on hold. I've also been playing Mass Effect, have Mass Effect 2 in my queue (along with Alan Wake and Bayonetta) and can't wait for Dragon Age 2 to come out. Oh, and I want to try Super Meat Boy and LIMBO.
  • MEDITATION: I've started reading a book called "8 minute meditation" - the idea is that by meditating every day for 8 minutes for 8 weeks you can make it into a habit and take it from there. So far it's been helpful. Meditation is something that I desperately want to make into my most important habit of the day, I have a goal of being able to do it for an hour without a problem. As someone who's had anxiety/panic issues it's my best vaccination.
  • MOTIVATIONAL TAPES: It sounds cheesy but I've found that by listening to motivational tapes again and again on repeat the dialogue begins to internalize and my mood lifts. I've gotten a little lazy on it though the last few days and my mood's dropped a little bit.
  • BUZZING HAIR: Since I've been losing hair, rather than have a grand canyon on the back of my head, I've just been buzzing it to size 1, which is just slightly above fully shaved.
  • PREGNANCY: Did you know that our member, Indi, is pregnant? @_@

Whew.

So anyway, the more important question:

WHAT DID YOU GET FOR THE HOLIDAYS?

I had a fairly low-key one. I got Mass Effect 2, a Jump Rope, an Exercise Shirt, and Clothes.

LOL

Happy Thanksgiving!

I feel incredibly lucky to have such great visitors, such great people helping keep the sites up and running, and such supportive advertisers who keep the servers online.

Cheers to you all,

Someone Needs To Make This

One of the biggest problems in life is having an idea but forgetting it soon after for lack of a pen and paper. Even if you do have a pen and paper, you have to remember to file it somewhere. Even if your phone has a voice recorder, it's still annoying to take it out and turn it on, then remember that you had saved a note on it.

Here's my solution:

You're sitting on the sofa reading a magazine when you get a brilliant idea.

"NOTE!" you yell. A voice-activated computer in the room turns on. You say your brilliant idea out loud. "END NOTE" you yell.

The computer transcribes what you said and emails it to you for future reference (along with an mp3 attachment). You can setup a folder in your email account designed to hold these.

Your idea has been saved forever with no fuss.

The only problem is it'll work only when you're at home, but I'll let someone else figure out the on the go solution.

The technology should all exist. Now who'll make it for me???????

Our Main Page

I'm not 100% happy with our main page.

Not sure that we need 4 thumbnails for every site and kind of miss the old blog-like layout we had before Version Vibrant, which mixed news and normal updates together in one nice blend.

What do you think?
