Today I Dropped The Ball

My panel went great (Our former news editor Gia Manry and Michael Pinto from Fanboy.com were with me), but I completely dropped the ball on everything else. Didn't see Ramen, didn't have our booth setup, didn't do much of anything.

TOMORROW though is going to be a BLOW OUT.

We're going to have the most badass booth ever. A projector playing video. Kanye West parodies. Lots of signs. Free swag. And a celebrity (Kyle Hebert) in full force on our behalf.

I'm going to try to have as much fun as possible :-D. I'll take pictures.

Ask Adam

I haven't updated my Ask Adam world in a long time.

Does anyone have any questions they'd like to ask? I'll do my best to answer them in a way that'll hopefully make for an entertaining read.

NYAF and my Post-VV Project

My favorite anime convention, the New York Anime Festival is less than a week away. This is the first time I'm going to have a booth at a convention and hopefully our members there (Ramen, Petie, et al) will be able to help watch it for me at certain points so I don't have to be tied down all the time

In addition to having a booth, we also have Kyle Hebert on hand to sign autographs and be a powerful presence.

So what warrants the massive effort? The first public announcement of my iPhone/iPod Touch game!

So far it's been about 13 months work on the darn thing. To give perspective, Version Vibrant took about 8 months.

Compared to web stuff, producing a commercial game is AGONIZING work, especially when you have no money and never done it before (my flash games didn't really prepare me for the task). For this reason I'm lucky to have been able to get such an A-list team to help me out.

I had to make a ton of sacrifices for this project. I'm deep in debt and haven't been as active here the last year as I would've liked. Worse I'm also risking other people's money. There's still work to do but the light is appearing at the end of the tunnel.

I'm really proud of all the projects I've ever launched and am happy to put my signature on them, but I've been on a losing streak for quite some time now. My art-business book, Version Vibrant, and theO Premium were all disappointments. A hit would be a fantastic confidence boost.

Anyway, keep your eyes peeled for the game's trailer (some of you have seen it already) and the website launch.

If it's a big success I'll have a ton more resources at my disposal for theO, if it's a flop I'll have to fight my way out of debt which might take a little bit of my energy away
