You people should stop putting Adam and his team down. In my opinion I think that the site is doing well in its current state... actually it's very impressive. I mean, it just launched, so of course there'll be some issues, but it's not like they're never going to be fixed or updated. Also, there are even some things here that I thought would NEVER happen, but DID. Most especially in the part where I wanted block some users so badly, and now we do! At the time we still had the other version, and I had my old account, I sent a report that there was some person sending my friend and me disturbing PMs. At first, I got no reply, which got me frustrated, but after I went here and saw that we had the right to block users, and I was like- heck yeah! And so even though no one replied, I know that my complaint was heard and resolved here on VV. Plus, this place looks SO awesome, compared to the old theOtaku. Can't you see? Adam and his team are doing so much, going through so many obstacles to get to where they are now to make us users happy. Soon enough, this place'll be the best fansite to ever be a part of, after the staff fixes up everything and we all get used to the new version. So be nice and be patient. As they say, patience is a virtue. Oh, and thanks for all your hard work theOtaku staff! That's including you, Adam. ^^

Umm . . . one question though, I can't find any of my friends! On the old version in the backroom you could jump to different people's myotaku's. Is there something like that here and I'm just not seeing it?

We're talking about myO compared to Worlds. TheOtaku itself is wonderful with the upgrades to the galleries and such. It's just the way that Worlds is supposed to take over myO and it looks like every other blogging site out there. myO is what made theO overall unique. We're not saying Adam's hard work isn't worthless because it isn't. I love the new galleries and theO but I already know of many members who were a big part of the myO community leaving because they weren't as much into theO...they just wanted a little site of their own to meet people. I just wish the whole upgrades with the smileys and the ability to respond to people's comments had been applied to myO...that's what we had though was going to happen but we've learned that's not the case. *That's* why we are upset...not about the way Vibrant has changed theO because theO looks great now.
Hey Adam, you put a lot of hard work into Vibrant and it looks wonderful but...like all the other myO people, we are feeling a bit ditched here. I had the impression that when Vibrant launched, myO was going to get upgraded as well...not thrown aside. Thank you adam for all of your hard work and I will continue to look forward to more updates in the future. But there is one thing I have to ask. What are we going to do about Myotaku? Its pretty much (dare I say) useless right now. When I first got here, I spent most of my time on myotaku, and would check fanart,fanmanga, and news when I got on theotaku. I'm just woundering. Because there are some things on myotaku that I love, that theotaku doesn't have, for instants customize your page, Like Html. Thats one of my biggest worries. Alot of members on myotaku are moving to theotaku for posting. Thats where the "useless" part comes in. Hopefully all of our questions will be answered in the next few months.

I joined in August of 06. I havn't been here as long as you have, but myO feels like my 2nd home (except on the internet..). But I really think this is much better. He's not forcing you, but he may be limiting the use of myo so you can use VV more. By creating 'worlds', Adam is giving you the chance to bring what you had on myO to VV. try it out. Make a world and see how you like it.
The myotaku comment box isn't getting fixed, the pm inbox for us, us being myotaku people is gone, the avatar link isn't getting fixed back, it's like it's just a method to get us to quit myo or come here, and it's not fair to us who've been here for years, since 04/03.
There's nothing to get all hyped up about. There isn't anything different from the old theo's PM system from the new one except the emotes. And he's not forcing anyone to do anything.

Damn nice site that you made. I've always liked MyOtaku, but TheOtaku just wasn't my thing, and I hardly ever spent time on it. But now that Version Vibrant has launched, I keep finding myself coming back to the site to just browse around and see what new has come up. You really did do a wonderful job with this, and I can only imagine the massive amounts of time and headaches that were put into creating this amazing upgrade.
I'm really impressed with this version and how you and the rest of the staff is taking care of all the bugs and such! I love the new layout, the new features, the navigation and the backroom is just great with subscribing to people ^^ It works great ;) Thanks for all the hard work Adam! ;)

I'm really impressed by the huge jump that this network made with this version. The bugs thing is gonna happen, but you guys handled it with swiftness and care...which really attests to the quality of site you and your team puts out Adam.
I'm really digging the worlds feature...the default layouts are crazy good :) Props to those who did the aesthetic desgining for that.
There are a lot of things I like about the new version, some I'll need to get used to and some things I would have liked. But, you guys just launched it, I'll wait a few weeks before I start complaining

I've already had a couple people ask me if I knew anything about how to see who's subscribed to them (I guess my reputation for keeping up with important things precedes me). It would be nice to know that sort of thing, and would open up the community a whole lot more.
Not saying it's a majorly must have feature right now, but it would be nice to think about for the future.
So far I'm loving it Adam. Good luck with getting all these little bugs out. I'm glad they're minor. Things have been a lot faster and all these new features are amazing. Thank you so much again for putting so much work into this site for all us to enjoy

Ah, so that's what was slowing things down. I noticed speed kind of went up and down over the first day after launch. Good to know it wasn't a problem with the site itself.
Given that the site is JavaScript heavy and my computer usually hates that kind of site (the reason I don't hang out on deviantArt or TokyoPop more than I do), theO is doing all right at the moment. It does choke on things like the comment box once in a while, but that's the nature of my computer, there's nothing anyone else can do to make that stop.
I think the most difficult bugs you'll have to deal with are the ones that came out of the blue. Stuff no one expected because they didn't know to expect them. Those will prove to be the most challenging to get rid of. 1-2 months? Wow, that's a lot of time, but if that's what it takes to make sure everything is running right, good luck to you. When you get done here, you can slip back over to MyOtaku and get the stuff that's broken there squared away.
Hopefully taking the time to post here means that the most chaotic stuff is handled and you've been able to get some rest already. If not, get some rest already.
Yup, I can see the potential of this version. There's lots of stuff that can be done here. I have ideas, which I'm not sure if the staff have already thought of, or the bossman has tucked under his sleeves. You guys deserve a good congratulations, though it's not fully completed. It's a good thing the bugs are just little ones.
