Congrats on getting your contacts! And getting them in on your own. My sister who has contacts suggested keeping a little bit of a nail (just a little pass your finger's edge nothing horrible long) on the two fingers you use to get the contact out. She says it helps.
I still have trouble with my contacts sometimes. They dry out quickly, so I have to be quick at getting them in my eyes. The longest it's ever taken within the past two years for me to get my contacts in is 15 minutes.
I really like contacts. They don't affect appearance at all, usually. Though sometimes glasses can be a missed accessory...
Good job! Don't worry, you'll be able to take them in and out quick in no time at all. I remember my eye doctor saying when I first put on my contacts that it "feels like there's a piece of plastic on your eye because there is. Don't worry you'll get used to it"
So I see you decided on the contacts, I'm glad you have no real problems with them. I guess since you haven't worn them before it would be a little hard to put them in quickly. I assume in time you would put them in quicker.

=O ! TWO HOURS!?! Okay that's it I'm sticking with glasses. I could never do that anyway. I have enough trouble when I'm at Dara's house and she's taking hers out. I always have to turn away X-X
At least now you can continue with your Tae Quan Doe class . . . or whatever it was I forget -3-
One positive is that once you get putting them in and taking them out, it becomes a lot less painful to take eyelashes or specks of dust out of your eyes (whether you're wearing contacts at the time or not).
You'll get used to it in no time, then you'll be putting them in and taking them out without any effort. Just don't try it if you're lacking sleep, you're eyes will already be irritated, and putting contacts in makes it worse.
I never want to try contacts. 1 hour, sounds a little crazy. I had a freidnw ho said it took her 2 hours to get them out and she cried the whole time.
When I can, I'll just stick to glasses. Right now I wear my mom's and I can see fine, but, her glasses make me look weird. She has yet to schedule and appointment to get glasses in for me.
Still, glad you like the contacts, lets hope you get use to putting them on and taking them out as soon as possible. I'm use to touching my eye, but I can't do it everytime I want to see. O_o

I'd have to stick with glasses if it were me. I'm not a squeamish person, but the thought of poking meself in the eyes >_<
*shudders*
But at least you can see better now ^_^ Good luck with them

I used to get freaked out by the idea of touching my eye - and I still hate touching it without having the lense between my eye and finger, haha.
Still, you get used to it. Your eye desensitizes and your technique gets better.
Eventually you'll be whippin' 'em in and out in no time at all. And you'll be able to choose between contacts and glasses whenever it's convenient.
So good luck! I'm sure you'll enjoy them once you're used to 'em.

Once you get use to them... contacts are great. ^_^ I know I love having that option. Glasses are nice and all, but I love being able to choose.
In the name of the tune I will punish you!

Contacts scare me... The thought of seeing one's finger slowly going on your eyeballs... brr...
Good luck on that, eh?
