If there are restrictions like that, then I'm glad. Honestly, I haven't been to the App Store and I am unfamiliar with how they work. I'd just rather bring up the issue now than have some irate parent coming down a-ragin' about how he's advertising said game to their underage kid. Those kinds of folks tend not to listen to logic very well. >>' Thanks for clearing it up.
I think you make a valid point, but it's worth remembering that the game is actually rated on the App Store (17+ from memory). And to purchase from the App Store you need a credit card, as well (although admittedly you could just use pre-paid, but still). I think there are plenty of measures in place to ensure that the game only reaches appropriate audiences.
I can't remember if the App Store actually asks you to confirm your age, but I seem to recall some sort of physical warning about the rating when I tried to buy it. Maybe I'm just imagining that. *shrug*

Adam, while I think the fact you made your own App game is great (I certainly wouldn't be able to do it), and I'm not exactly bashing the fact you made it around something you find cool, you might want to remember who you're telling about this. Granted, there's a lot of people here who might like the game and all that, but there's a lot of underage people on theO. So, when I see something like this at the bottom of my backroom, I get just a little tweaked. I understand that it's just a game, but I also understand that people are idiots and might what to sample what their virtual counterparts made before they're legally allowed to. Not everyone, but enough to ruin it for everyone else.
I agree with the Jameses and think you should hit up gaming sites like IGN. They'd know how to handle the publicity quite well.
Definitely try to hit up IGN, Gametrailers, Kotaku if you're gutsy . . . but y'know what? They recently posted a thing about finding fossils that are older than people previously knew and ultra-tangently related it to Spore.
Have you tried contacting IGN about your game? Or any gaming media? You may find that if you try contacting them directly you could get generate some interest. :)
