In addition to this ban thing, I suggest that the usernames of subscribers be viewable to the public, just like the Friend's List from the old version of theOtaku. This is to prevent future users from repeating this "Kohaku-Dono scandal" (lol, stat inflation has a new name).

When I see more subscribers than guestbook sigs in my portfolio, it does make me wonder who those unknown users are. It's kind of creepy too...

Man, that sure is strange... I was also wondering about how an otakuite managed to get that many subscribers... Resorting to fake accounts... That's just low.

I went hiking today, too, to go rock climbing. It was so hot because by the time we got to the rock climbing area, the hike was really steep, that we were ready to go back. Plus we went to a bad area (new place). However, we did see some friends there.

and you should some of us work hard and have good peaces yet have low subscribers we dont need fake ppl stealing all the real ones!

Funny...I kinda thought that was how she had gotten so many subscribers too...it just seemed so odd that this person who had come out of nowhere and I rarely see commenting or visiting others could have so many subscribers. I got a PM from her too telling me about the "glitch" and what her new username is going to be etc. etc. I'm glad I happened onto Worlds today and checked your post to see the latest scoop. It's pretty sad when people resort to creating fake accounts to boost their popularity.>_<

Jeez from all of these comments I feel bad that I am just about the only one who did it. But I do have to wonder if people really think that when they only have a few subscribers and then go right up to no.1 place that no one is going to wonder why.

O_O I thought things were a little strange with an Otakuite above the Bossman in statistics, but never said anything because I couldn't tell who subscribed to her or anything. I can understand maybe one casual and one "professional" account, but all those , just to susbcribe to one person? That's wrong.

I remember making a fake account once a few years ago to play a trick on a friend. I'm pretty sure I have deleted it since then, but I might be wrong and it's sitting there like a normal user-abandoned account.

Wow I had no idea that that was how she had got all those subscribers. Well done on spotting it though and I completely agree with the punishment and the enforcing of the new rule, the Members part should completely reflect the talents of the members themselves and not the number of accounts they have.

Glad you managed to get some time in the park around the deletion of all those accounts and I hope it didn't get too much in the way of all your other site plans!

When you consider that they had over 200 subscribers, that means they made over 160+ dummy accounts. That's just insane. I know people who have more than one like Aaryanna, but that was to set up fan clubs not inflate their own stats. It was also before VV and the option to have more than one world.

Anyway, I agree with the rule, especially if it moves in to absurd numbers like that member you busted did. That's just ridiculous.
