I think theO is doing very well, considering (as you mentioned) that you've never resorted to the really gimmicky stuff. It would be easy to grow the site with a few simple commercial elements but you've kept away from that. I think members appreciate it.
And you must tell me about your ideas. Brainstorming sessions are always interesting.

Lolz, long?? XD Haha, wait till you read MY long posts, they make ur eyes go numb! O_O
Anyway, I think you're doing a wonderful job on VV! I had no idea you were in a bad emotional/ health condition during the launch, that must've been really stressful. D: I hope that everything's alright now! *pat bossman's shoulder* and If ppl wanna leave theO, it's their loss, they're missing out on fun. XD
It's not good to stress yourself too much, you're still human (and a great one at that) so we all need to have a peaceful state of mind and relax once in a while. So there is no need to give 100% of ur busy time, cuz you have ur own life to take care of, plus it would make every day a tiring day. XD *hugs*
I think theO is perfect as a medium comunity, dA is like packed so full of ppl, it's all about who gets featured, show ur skills, peer pressure, etc. It makes you feel like a stranger in a gigantic community and stuff.. XDD
I was kinda wandering lately if you have time that you could update the member subscription list, cuz I have over a hundred subscribers so it's kinda hard to track them all. I really love each and everyone of 'em, which is why I feel really guilty that I'm not able to check all their updates and see how they are doing cuz the member update list can only show upto 20 updates and the rest dissappears, so I am not able to visit everyone back, but they always kindly visit me and I feel terrible about it. TAT
I want to let you know TheO is a special part of my life, I will be a member of this wonderful friendly community till the day I die. I'm glad that you and the staff made theO possible. :3 *hugs*
Take care
p.s. Lolz, my comment is huge! XD Now, THAT is what you call long Mr. Adam! >:3 ok I'll shut up now... *hides*
haha long post. you dont know what a long post is haha XD anyways thats good you have some time for yourself dont you think? this way you can always find new ways to make it more fun like the gifts thats relle kool....even though we dont get to give out a lot.
Well it was wayyy longer than his last three posts >3>
But yah, I agree, it should be medium sized with less cheezyness
But I think the next big thing should be TheO.com COMMERCIALS!!! On TV!!!! :D that'd be soooooooo awesome =D
I'm interested to hear about the ipod thingy
Yah, I remember you being sick 'n all ): Being Healthy is being cool 'n productive ^___^
And in the spirit of agreeing with someone before you, I agree with Somegirl, as long as TheO soesn't turn into myspace, I'll be cool with whatever you do. I take super pride in being apart of theO and always will. I think TheO's headed in a great direction, the one opposite of myspace x___X
Sarcasm aside...There's nothing wrong with being a medium-sized site. I feel like larger sites are just so...well, yeah, gimmicky. I've gone through my phases of other places, but I've always stuck to this here place. It's mah home! And no matter what I say, I love the place and don't want it to lose the feeling of community that's here.
Being somewhat small isn't a bad thing. I know you're ambitious and want great things for this site, which sucks when you have trouble realizing this goal. But there also comes a time when you have to prioritize and think of what features of the site are your favorite.
You take it easy for a while. The site has come a long way. Don't worry about the people that left because theO wasn't up for less than a week. If they were true otaku they would stick with it. Don't worry about making theO the next mySpace. That's why I come here, because it's not mySpace. A lot of people who left treated theO (or myO to be exact) as another mySpace or facebook.
TheO might be a medium sized site but its our little space in the interweb and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Its sad that we've lost some of our visitors and members but hey it happens to all the sites. Unfortunately, you can't please everyone, I wish it was possible though but its not.
So please don't think about what you've lost with the launch of Version Vibrant but what you've accomplished with it! It was a major project and huge leap of faith of yours. You made it, you've survived it. And you still have an incredible crew and faithful members to support you to wherever you decide to do or go. We're here for you because, after all, you're the most incredible Bossman, I've ever had the opportunity to meet.
I'm rooting for you in pursuing new exciting projects! I hope all of them runs well and make you feel realized! Good luck, bossman!
I agree with James-
Not long at all, I remember Yensid's posts. I do miss her but they were so long. lol
And hey- As long as Theotaku doesn't get like Myspace, I'll be behind you 100% of the way.
Don't worry too much. You've got a good staff at your side to help you through any problems in the future. Plus, all of the long time members will always be there to help you when you need it too.
Everything takes time but it'll get there eventually.
James

You call that a long post? C'mooooon . . .
But you're right. We are slowly making our way . . . but that's fine. Because even if it's slow, we are making our way. What more can we ask, right?
