Well, that's because Harry Potter is actually good.
God forbid if someone should be obsessed with something of quality.
I would laugh at the article, but it scares me too much...
...That's so sad and funny at the same time. To be honest, I was laughing a bit through the entire article. Like, seriously? Harry Potter never got this out of hand. When will people realize that it is a FICTIONAL STORY? *shakes head*
I've no idea what happened; I guess our expectations and standards plummeted. The same thing happened with Hip-Hop---I think it suffered the most. I love Hip-Hop, because it can truly be skillful: the way words are weaved together, the meanings, and the beats; however, a lot of people draw their poor opinion from Hip-Hop from the mainstream songs on the radio. It's depressing to see what that has done to the image of some of its finer music.

what has happened to music is kinda sad. :( i have no problem with songs talking about sex but when songs just basically glorify whoring around then its just horrible and lyrics that have no meaning (not for the sake of not having a meaning [referring to something like dada]) but for the sake of matching the tune its just talentless. and have you heard some of these singers sing live? bleh. what happened to the days when lyrics got together with music and created great pieces of musical art?
well they arent like adult sites but yeah i have seen some freaky stuff like edward undies. DX
why i am informed of this you may ask? well my friend requested that i make a site for her of twilight for her English project and well i had to go look for some pictures.
Indeed; for a moment I saw a glimmer of hope---but then I realized that that glimmer was Edward Cullen's sparkles. /facepalms
Obsession over such a thing is surely unhealthy...
I think it's highlighting the fact that people no longer interested in talent; and only wish to cater to their hormones. I can understand someone younger liking Twilight; that's the audience it's aimed for: hormonal teenagers with an illogical picture of love painted in their brains; but adults? That's depressing.
Even in music; it's becoming terribly unimpressive and predictable, catering to people's diminishing taste in music. I think main society is dumbing down with every second. /deadpans
yes i know. im a girl but yes its totally sexist and really highlight society's warped nature. i mean really. i have even seen some sites that are supposed to be for older twilight fans (older women) and really its a bit gross. these are older woman. adults. wtf is going on? the characters are still in high school.

Indeed; and for some reason, no one thinks concepts like 'Twi-Moms' are creepy enough to investigate. Try to imagine hundreds of middle-aged men lining up and gushing over a 16 year-old.
I can already hear the police whipping out their handcuffs...

I imagine with the internet, there's got to be adult sites like that somewhere... *cringes*
I give you my condolences, my mom loves Twilight. Not in a freaky way though, thank God!

And just when I thought I'd start to feel a little bit decent thoughtfulness toward society...
This is why I must be so misanthropic...
