I'm pretty sure if I commented on something 'girly', I would suddenly melt like the Wicked Witch of the West. /laughs
That makes sense though, I'd have to agree with you. And it is pretty wondrous how I fool so many people. I should just post the pinkest card or wallpaper ever. So pink, it could shatter the fabric of space and time.
I think it's because you seemingly think like a male and somewhat articulate your words kind of like a guy. Also, you like all the stuff guys should like. Like the villains, fanart and so on. I also, don't think I've ever seen you comment on something girly. Anywho, it's all good. Something different on what you expect from your average female. It's actually quite interesting how you fool so many people. lol Good show!/British accent
I know what you mean. I used to have no idea what it meant and when someone wrote it out, I was considered a newb because I was asked, "What does TL;DR mean? Is it related to FTW?"
Thank you, I'm glad you like this segment. /smiles
Wait wut? So you're not a guy? Hm. All this time I was under the impression you were a guy. Appearances can be decieving indeed. Haha. You had me fooled.

HAHA! I think I'd be more pissed at the fact that if it had happened to me before I read this, I wouldn't have known what it meant and on asking what that means I'd get a douchy response like "u don't know what that means? too long; didn't read, helloooo?". ¬_¬ lol
But I gotta say Serpent, I really like this idea of pet peeves. lol I shall stay tuned for more.
I know what you mean; crappy fanfiction drives me away, but fanfiction.net is like crack to me now. /twitches
Mainly because I have a new ultimate-ly disturbing pairing that I love now. Poor Choji; chubby so they never put him in slash fanfiction... /shakes head
There should be a shirt simply titled, "Use Fucking Spellcheck".
Dude, I'd buy that in two-seconds and wear it everywhere.
I've been told that I think like a guy too; probably because being around a lot of women grates on my insanity quite a bit. /twitches
Mediocre conversations about cooking and clothing...
That's probably going to be listed as a pet peeve next. /not joking
I never knew you used to be on GaiaOnline; the only reason why I haven't permanently left is because my account is worth... a lot.
22 million, if I remember correctly. e_o I'm possessive when it comes to my material items, even online. So, I still check up on that site. /laughs
I have moment here when I decide to post comments online; 'cause I'm still learning how to organize my time properly. Still, I can see why you'd agree and I understand what you mean about one-liners. I could write a post about a family death, but still---I'd have that one person tellin' me, "Your icon is real cool, nice post!"
GaiaOnline had a way of bringing that negativity out of me; when I first joined the site, I was a moderately kind person. However, after a year on that site, my patience for stupidity evaporated quickly.
Still, people reach a topic, read absolutely nothing and then write that term down. It's a nice way of saying, "Well, I clicked on the subject and didn't read it---however, I still thought I'd swing by and rub it in your face." Sometimes, it's understandable when you consider that people can really write a full fledged report on the most mundane of subjects---still, it's a pretty big pet peeve of mine.
And what's worse is that sometimes, it's such a small passage that I have to wonder... "Can this person read at all? Geez, it's four lines!" /shakes fists angrily
Oh no, I've ignited a flame of pet peeve proportions! Don't put it out just yet, take the flame and light the term TL;DR on fire. /schemes
So true. When on the internet you can simply read the stuff you're interested in and comment or simply ignore it and move on. But there will always be people who will post 'TL;DR' comments. It's inevitable. Your just a person hiding behind a username and that can make some people very direct in speech, careless in thinking and simply giving their opinions without bothering whether it'll offend someone. Well most people won't do this but there will always be people who do. And it also depends on in what internet community you are participating.
XD I never heard of that. I'm not so much a reader for online stuff, usually I go online to relax or, what the internet is for, looking up and exchanging information. I don't read a lot of fanfiction or fiction stories online; I'm hard to please and there's very few stories that I'd comment on. Some stories are just horrible though... ugh.. like those narutoXsasukeXchojiXwhatever yaoi stories with horrible grammar XD
I admit I'm not a grammar Nazi, but when it is an academic paper or a serious story, it should be in its best condition. Also known as, use fucking spellcheck XD ok I digress
As for the comments, if you're going to post something about someone's work at least have it be thoughtful. Length to me doesn't matter, it actually sometimes bothers me. Apparently I think like a man according to my mom XD no details, don't give a damn about the feelings, just who, what, when, where, and why. XD ironic how this comment is getting to be long. Anyways, I'd be pissed if I spent time writing something and get a comment like "tl;dr". Oh well, at least a shitty comment is better than no comment I suppose. I've never been on Gaia; always thought it'd be another one of those shitty low-grade Myspace forum.
Well, I haven't been back to Gaia...in years. I agree. The people there are all immature kids. I was always so annoyed by this one guy that wouldn't stop messaging me. I just quit.
As for that comment...I haven't had it said that way, shortened. That's even WORSE. But you know me and my long posts!! So of course it's a peeve of mine, too. :/ I always get comments...that don't say it outright, but you know it's true. Those are the people that give me one or two sentences, or only focus on the least important of my post, or just don't comment at all. And then I ask them where they've been, and they either say they haven't had time, or they've been reading it...but they can't comment cause it's too long. ~__~ So yeah, that annoys me to no end.
I know I sometimes say I don't have time to read a whole post, that I'll come back some other time. Sometimes I remember, and sometimes I don't, but I don't act like a jerk and cop out with TL;DR.
I COMPLETELY understand how you feel. It's atrocious; those people. -____- Can't some people have some heart & show consideration for a person that's trying to be friendly? You've caught one of my pet peeves too! Nice post.

Nope, I'm female. I can't even count the amount of times I've gotten somewhat hit on, online because some girl thinks I'm male. /twitches
"Wait, what did you say? What want me to take you and whattt?"
I've always wondered, what is it about my online persona that gives people the impression that I'm male? /laughs
