I live in the middle of bumfucknowhere, so I hear rednecks shoot their guns off all the time throughout the whole year XD a lot of them were doing so for the new year. But that is in a rural area, where there is no chance of being hurt (unless you are a really bad shot)... but in a neighborhood, that is dangerous O.o

Happy New Year! *hugs* My dog gets scared too, but this year my parents went on a trip and took her with them, so I stayed home with the cat. She was surprisingly quiet this time around, last year she wouldn't feel safe walking around for a few days and would just lay under the bed covers most of the time.
Great fireworks here too, though I haven't had the "pleasure" of hearing gunshots. Plenty of police cars, though.
