Yes. No one would have the patience to ever go through all of my comments. You can't go to the last page. I have too many, and the old ones would be from the way old versions and myO...so I don't think they show up. I have been commenting for many a year lol...(if you go to page 30 of the comments, you're only back to june of this past year '11)

I know that posts that were made in private worlds are seen as private. Other than that I'm not sure. But I've made the argument in my recent post, that literally anything you have posted on the internet is not considered private. Many people don't realize how easy it is to find information on the internet, and if I were the type of person to intrude on other's lives I certainly would use the advantage of digging up info on others (especially on tracking IP sources. Command prompt does wonders). Once something is put up, it never goes away, even if you "delete" it.. it's just a matter of how savvy you are with use of these things. I've always been careful of how my information is transmitted, and while I understand most people's concern about privacy issues, and much of it is very valid, again, they should know better to put something up that should really be concealed if they didn't want it out in the open in the first place. Facebook is a perfect example of this.
Most sites have this feature already, and following comments was pretty simple before this (Look at your worlds, look at your friend's worlds, look at submissions, see comments there). So, I think it's a small change, but I'm still hopping out of my seat.
So many comments I've lost, so much nostalgia from looking at my pink-girl animu emote filled, 'kawaii!' spewing comments.
Well, that's what happens on YouTube a lot too. The new layout happened, and once again, I was one of the few who loved it. I even sent a message to them with my appreciation written in many happy words. But people complained about 'fixing something that didn't need to be fixed', when it fact, the layout that they wanted back, was the layout they hated when it was first introduced as well.
The layout before the current one was so unanimously despised, on every video there was a comment about how much it sucked. And now, they want it back. Fickle people, I swear.
Nice to know you've calmed down. You can disagree with it, but some people are still taking it too viciously. +1 classiness to you
You're 100% correct about that. There's like a small amount of people who like the update, and everyone else is making logically impaired arguments about their public comments being... public! //gasp
I've only seen one legitimate argument/concern. I think it was made by The Mask, questioning if the comments posted on worlds that are meant to only be viewed by a certain subscribers, can be listen and seen there. That's it. Nothing else about the comment!arguments has a shred a sense.
I bet people are going to complain about this one. Haters gonna hate. Personally, I think it's interesting, I get to see my 13 year old self again... not that I really want to XD but I think it would be fun, I have nothing to hide... at least I think I don't XD;
It's certainly interesting lol. I don't know how much I"ll use it though. XD It didn't work for me though...umm...going back to the first page. I have 14,568 comments. XD So I have a feeling it wouldn't keep track of all of them lol. Since my first ones were back in the old days of myO and such. Anyway, glad to see you're happy with it!
Great feature for referring to posts - like on MT, where I don't reply to comments that often, I need to go back to others' and my posts and show them what we were talking about.
Privacy argument is silly. Posts are public anyway, so I don't get all the hubbub.
Maybe it'll be like the front page revision, where everyone hated it, and now no one complains, or just they don't care. Still, this feature is on a lot of websites already, including Minitokyo, Zerochan, and any other big sites I spend time on. Overall, TheOtaku was pretty late on the uptake, and I'm pretty sure if this feature was placed from the very beginning, people would actually complain if it were taken away.
I hope most people eventually come to like the feature, though. :/
Earlier, I was against it but after going to Chat with MikuBerry(Who hates it) and talking to the Mods and Adam about it and hearing their opinion, I think the feature is kinda cool.
its nice to be able to easily see my old comments, sorta. I dunno, kinda "meh" not to excited.
I was just shocked I guess. Hopefully now that Adam is thinking of making it optional, some people will start to calm down.
What a pity, it's an excellent feature, once you're used to it. The main argument- privacy? Really? If I can go to a submission, or any world that's made available to everyone, and see your comment anyway - why is there such a fuss with having a link to those comments made available? Unless your trafficking porn, there shouldn't be an issue. Not to mention, that it'll be easier to check up on habitual rule-steppers now. Overall, my previous posts really applies to this, lawl.
I AM THE 1%- oh crap, the 99%'ers are about to rise up and march against m- //runs for life
You are the 1% of theOtaku who actually likes the feature. I never thought my eyes would behold such a sight. XD Personally, I don't really mind it, but there are quite a few people out there who are strongly against it. We'll see how this plays out~

I'm having myself some nostalgic moments. Can you believe I used to use the pink, girly emotes and write 'kawaii!' every other comment? The horror.
Yeah, give it a week, they'll be people lovin' it even more. Like I've said, these are fickle times we live in.

Wow. This is an interesting feature. Thanks for pointing that out. It would be interesting to see comments that go as far back as 2003.
EDIT: And apparently, all I can see at the moment are comments from the Version Vibrant era.
