I need to watch Jumanji again ;o; I loved it as a kid, though my parents probably wanted to throw either the tape or the VCR out the window for being forced to watch it so often with me.
It was so shocking what happened to Robin Williams that day. I don't think I've ever been that sad over a celebrity in a while. I'll never forget some of his amazing roles in his movies like Dead Poets Society, Aladdin, and Jumanji, even Night at the Museum. He was such a brilliant actor and a very comedic person, and I'll never forget him. He was also just a fantastic person in general and he was so good to everyone he met. I can only imagine what his family must be going through. We'll all miss him alot. He's touched many peoples lives the way he did and he'll never be forgotten.
Of course, even with the terrible things that have happened this week, it really is kind of hard not to let it get to you, especially even if everything seems peaceful for a while, and even if you try so hard to be positive and not think about it, while still acknowledging that it's happening -- you can't help it.
It's been kind of a downer of a week so far, but I know next week will be even better in one way or another, and I won't lose the thought of that. No matter how badly I think of the world and all of the things that are happening, I still can't find myself to give up on the world, like something is pushing me forward and giving me hope, without me even being aware of it.
I know what you mean about trying to explain feelings to family members. It's a complicated thing to do and sometimes you just question if they're really listening to you or not, or would it really even help.
I'm really grateful to have my friends to talk to when times like these happen. It just seems like the older generation just doesn't really understand what you're going through, while your friends who've experienced the same things you have, really know what you're talking about and its a good feeling to know that you aren't alone, even when you feel isolated in your mind.

I am really sorry for what happened. Robin Williams was also one of my favorite actors and just recently I wanted to start looking through his movies again. Never did I imagine that something like this would have happened.
