You did the right thing. I took care of puppies for my sister. Puppies pee a lot when they're young. From my experience potty trained puppies would pee when they get scared. And after the way your dad reacted I would say its the right option

I believe you did the right thing as well. animals need love, and patience, especially when they're young! I can understand being angry about a dog peeing in the house, it happened to me as well, but threatening to kill them.. it's just not good! I wish you all the best, and I hope the puppy will be safe from now on!

Yeah you did the right thing. Puppies have very small bladders and often can't conttol it/don't know any better. You do need to teach them that is bad, but not in a way like that.
So taking the puppy else where is the best option

Considering the fact that your old man threatened to kill a puppy for something as simple as peeing in the house I'd say yes you did as if the puppy did something worse it would probably nit have lasted for half an hour.
