I understand your stepdad not wanting to keep going through Chemo. It's not a fun procedure. MY grandma chose not to go through Chemo the last 3 months so she could spend her last months the way she wanted without being in the hospital all the time.

Same here. I let them take my car and i'm just going to take my mom's truck to work because it's easier for my step father to get in and out of my car then my mom's truck.

I don't know how the x-rays are going to go and if they are going to have to take more fluid out of his lung. I'm sure my mom will keep me posted.

My step dad had to go in for x-rays so they left about an hour ago. He was in a lot of pain when I got there this morning.

It sucks that you have to work so much, but try to take it as easy as you can. Too much stress will be bad for you, and thats not a good thing in any situation.

The thing is my step father and mother both decided with how far the cancer has spread through his body it's not worth trying to go through surgery and kemo. When they did a scan the cancer had pretty much taken over the right side of his body and the doctor's don't know if it's made it into his head or not because it was traveling up the side of his neck. We're going to be lucky if we will have him with us for another 4 months. That's what the doctor's told my mother.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I try not show other's how I feel and I kind of blew up on my older sister the other day because of how she said something to me and I didn't mean to. We made up a few hours later like we always do if we get into a fight. But I have tomorrow morning off so I don't have to work at the farm in the morning, I just have to work at Game Stop tomorrow night thankfully. That'll give me time to help my mom with whatever she needs help with.

I just told my assistant manager what's going on with my step father tonight. unfortunately with my manager going out of town tomorrow and my one co worker in France I can't really get any time off. But thank you Dani and I'll do that. I always feel better when we do our normal babbling with each other.

I am sorry to hear about your step dad.
I know it can be hard having to work when you feel so sad, but sometimes the work helps keep your mind off the personal, at home stuff. But I also think pushing yourself too hard isn't the best thing. Make sure you're taking care of yourself!
I also just wanted to say that if you need to talk to anyone about the cancer, you can talk to me. MY dad had stage 4 cancer, too, but he was able to beat it, but I remember feeling the way you must right now. MY grandma, grandpa, and aunt also had stage 4 cancer, but they unfortunately did not beat it. I just want you to know you have a shoulder to lean on if you ever want to vent or have any questions or whatnot.

Oh Sara, take it easy with work okay? Take a day, hell, or week off if you need. You've been having a lot of rough bumps and turns lately so it seems.

I am so terribly sorry to hear your step-father has cancer. I know how that feels to know a family member has that of all things. But stay strong for them sweetie. You, your mother, step father, and others can pull through it if you try to stay strong okay.
