Ulquiorra slipped quietly into the presence of Aizen. His news was not pressing... merely expected. But he would not rush it. No, no. He was above that.
So he wrapped himself in a cloud of brooding thoughts and waited to be acknowledged.
Aizen looked to Ulquiorra as he stood before him. "What have you found out, Ulquiorra?"
Words. Lips. Sounds. Thoughts. They organized themselves into chronological order and became a message to relay to Aizen.
"The results were as expected," He began. "Hitsugaya Toshiro is dead."
Aizen's smirk looked as if the cat had eaten the canary. He looked to Ulquiorra once more. "Do you believe Kita was the one that did this?"
"My belief is nothing more than a theory. Is it facts you ask for?" With a careful touch, Ulquiorra kept his eyes blank.
"Then enlighten me with your theory, Ulquiorra." Aizen told him.
"It was her hands that murdered him, but with an alternate weapon. Her soul reeks of regret and it is sickening." He paused slightly before continuing. "My theory deviates from my original assumption. She must have been influenced. Kita is strong, but her mind is weak. She is easily swayed. She is a murderer, but of what kind? Premeditated? Whimsical?" Ulquiorra's gaze shifted over to catch the calculated gaze of Aizen.
Aizen's eyes studied Ulquiorra as he spoke every word he uttered striking a note of familiarity. After Ulquiorra had finished his opinion on the matter he asked his ever faithful Espada.
"What would be a form of action you would take against your fraction for betrayal toward you?"
"My lord, I am not one to dictate what you do with your means of punishment. Kita has slipped back into your grasp once more and it is like a double edged sword. We are hell enough. Yet we are the antidote." Having said his part, Ulquiorra fell silent.
"An antidote? So let me ask you, Ulquiorra. Do you believe your fraction has broken since she has taken the life of Hitsugaya?" He looked deeply into the green eyes of the Espada. "Well she do what is needed of her and stop all the rebellion we have faced with her in the past?"
"Broken? No. Kita's actions were the acts of desperation. The void she was looking to fill is closed. She is no longer broken, but sealed. For now." Ulquiorra returned Aizen's look. "Rebellion begins in the heart. It would be opportune to seize this organ while it is still malleable. Tame it and you will tame Kita."
Aizen smirked slightly at Ulquiorra's words, replying in a pondering tone. "Tame the heart of the arrancar you say?" Aizen quickly looked back at Ulquiorra. "Train her. Make her stronger. I want her in top shape, and power by the end of the month." Aizen stood from his throne still looking at Ulquiorra.
"I will tame this new heart of Kita's. I will make her mine -- You are dismissed, Ulquiorra." Aizen turned walking away leaving the Espada alone in the throne room.
Ulquiorra gathered his wandering thoughts and placed them safely in the nether regions of his mind. There would be more time to explore what happened in Toshiro's ice tomb, but for now he had other duties to carry out. So he turned. Took slow, deliberate steps. And left.
