“Oh, me? I was waiting for someone.” I calmly said, hiding the fact I was panicking out of my mind.

“Who are you waiting for?” He got the jump on me, lightly, lovingly brushing a stray bang out of my face.

“I was – ah – waiting for my bro…ther…” I trailed as he traced my cheek so gently. Is this how it feels to have felt a lover’s touch?

“Is your brother a nice boy? I’m intrigued.” The warmth of his smile, the feel of his hands on my cheek, the longing to be closer to him, all swarmed my being.

I could hardly get out an answer. My chest was tightening in nervousness, my heart was quickening and I couldn’t breathe for fear I would shatter the moment.

“Are you alright, miss?” He leaned in closer, so his forehead was touching mine. “You feel like you have a fever.”

“I-I’m fine…” I think.

“How can you be so sure? After all,” Closer, closer, closer, until our lips were barely connected. “You seem to be dizzy, aren’t you?”

“I-” didn’t finish. My whole being woke up with a rapid shock. His breath melded with mine, in the most passionate, most loving kiss I have ever felt. We were completely connected, in mind, body, and soul. I never wanted to forget that moment, ever. Both of us were oblivious to everything other than now. We parted only once, just to launch into another. My entire mind went to one thought, stay like this forever. I didn’t care if he was the most wanted criminal in the entire country, just as he didn’t care that I was the one who was supposed to kill him. At that moment, we were the same person, a being who only wanted love and to be loved.
