I think Kastom has captured the esssence of blogging - it's largely about personal views/interests.
It is a great shame that an otherwise fine RPG (where members have put in a great deal of effort) can be passed off as "filth". One post, which would barely raise an eyebrow among the majority of our readership, does not an RPG make.
Instead of chastising and insulting the work of members, I suggest that we each try to find content that we enjoy and follow it - being a selective reader/consumer is the best way to affect change as well.
Maturity and the ability to choose and discern are definitely musts for all members, regardless of age. I certainly expect it of everyone and I know the staff at large do as well.

XP I swear... *shakes fist at the SD crew; especially Sabrina*
Anyway... I never think about the name but when I do, it does seem awkward. You're also reminding me that I keep meaning to blog and just don't.
Now as for SD and the fun factor... You'll get no argument out of me because it is a lot of fun, even if all of you are horrible about teasing. XP Especially you Allamorph! Gods... I got set up... *headdesk*
The word blog makes me think of MySpace.. And I'm not a fan of that site whatsoever. :3
Sounds like a pretty interesting RPG.. I'm actually in one right now on another site, so I know the feeling of being in a really awesome story. I'll check this one out though. I always like something new to read. :D
I love vampires. 'Nuff said. (Actually, my character in the roleplay I'm in is a vampire... with anger management issues though.)
That and I think it's utterly hilarious that Sabrina thinks Karl is cute.
It's not my fault that he is! XD
Anyway... I never thought about the word blog... I just use it. XP I guess it does sound rather odd when one thinks about it. Though I need to do more of that... >_> I just need school to stop keeping me busy!
Now on to SD! ^_^ I may have only just started but it's lots of fun! Plus we have so many fun things we've discussed for down the road. Hehe. That is what I find the most exciting about it, getting those plans in motion. ^_^
Also... this is for Beth. Victor and Lucia sitting in a tree... *sings*
Hehe, I rarely blog either. It just depends on whether or not I really want to. XP I just get busy doing other things and forget about it.
I love that banner you have up. ^_^ The saying soooo fits Victor! That and I think it's utterly hilarious that Sabrina thinks Karl is cute. XD When I first read that in the backstage I just laughed and laughed.
It's fun to follow what you guys write, especially once the creator and the other player left. It just got more and more creative with each post. Also... I still want to adopt Astera, hehe. ^_^ She's fun!
So far, though, we've only got the one: Victor L'Envers, my creation and designed specifically to be a pretty man. (He's the blonde guy in the center. Indi found the image about six months after I created him, and I was like "OMGWTFBBQ how did you do that!!!!") The other is a werecat, who was not intended as a bishie and who does not like the implications.
Vic's accent is based partially on Vin Aragiano's from Blood+. He is extremely charming and a social wizard, and is one of the most conniving characters in the game. But you'd have to go read to see how that works.
And here I rarely post because I get busy. XP Still I know what you mean, posting everyday stuff just seems pointless. :p
And yes, it's amazing how much fun SD has turned out to be. It was mildly entertaining at first and then a thousand times more fun when we all took over.
It really is fun to plan things and finally get to see them put in action. Though it does make me laugh that SD has it's own bishounen in the form of Victor and Karl... o_O
If you don't feel right posting everything that goes on in your life, then that's okay. There's no rule saying you have to. Even with everything I write about, I still don't type out everything from my day.
Blog is a strange word to me, not necessarily offinsive. Now my journalism professor spelling "lead" as "lede" (like in a hard lead for a story) or a "graph" turning into a "graf" and saying that's journalistic chic... ew. Sorry. Not my cup of tea.

Where would a good story be without bishi vampires? :P
It's always cool when you can participate in an RP that gets you excited to write like that. Actually, anything that can get you excited about writing is a good thing.
I don't really like the word blog either. There's plenty of stuff on my site I leave out, because I forget to write about it or it's just not important enough to mention. Basically, if it bores me to type it, it would bore others to read it, so why bother?
I think the word "blog" covers just about anything under the sun... for instance, one of the blogs I follow (I'll probably post about this at some point) is solely devoted to photographs of misused quotation marks on signs and stuff.
Yeah, for blog's, it's all about personal preference, and what YOU want to talk about. There are some things that people talk about that I just can't stand, but eh, it's their blog, so they can do whatever the heck they want.

I know the feeling... posting just to post seems rather meh. I prefer to stick to things that at least on some level interest me.
And yes SD is wicked fun, it's one of the few rpg's where I've had plans for a character that I actually got to put in motion. Plus... I'm looking forward to all the other plans we have in mind.

There just isn’t another other word for that kind of stuff. Well there is, but I’m not going to say it.
