But, if you don't regulate it, you'd get behind in homework or you can forget to do your chores. ^^ I forget to do stuff, even though I don't mean to. If I get everything done first, then I'm allowed to play longer if I want to. Though that's still limited as well. XD
I know a guy who doesn't even regulate his own 360 playing. Whether it be World of Warcraft or Soul Caliber 4, the player is directly responsible for setting their own limits.
However, console games don't keep making you pay fifteen bucks a month just to play them, which is the advantage there.
(Which is also the advantage of Guild Wars, and the reason I bought it.)
But I do think that your mother is right to say to wait until you're older. I just also think that saying MMO games are a waste of time, while mostly right, kind of misses the broader application of that statement.
o_o I hadn't thought of it like that. I just figured the other was okay since the amount of time we spend on it, is regulated (I think that's the right word).
I guess I'll find out when I eventually get my own computer. ^^
You worry about games like these, where you have to supervise yourself, when you get older. (At that point your parents will probably be making you take responsibility for yourself anyway, so it won't matter.)
I wonder what you sound like. oO I love it when my teachers have funny accents. XD
I was curious about GW, but my parents won't let me play those kind of games. They think they're a waste of time. I want to complain... but they let us get an xbox 360 so I kind of feel like I can't. ^^

Professors like that are fun. Make you pay attention more on account of their speech. And I see you have GW, I'd be willing to bet that you're playing it right now, even as I type this and see you on AIM. =P
I have to agree that dialects and accents are very fun. The peculiarities of speech is always an interesting time to me. :D I am glad that your professors have good English skills though; makes things a bit easier for both parties in the long run.
