Yeah... you know, when I read through all those comments the first time, I started to realize that people probably aren't reading all the comments like I am. (Although the comment I ended up leaving had quite the mocking tone, but... eh.)
At least one of my comments on the two nuggets from me was actual plain discussion, but I am really holding back on some of the comments. Some cases I just can't help... but I find that the current topics have been like little goldmines for trolling conversation. Yeah, that doesn't make it right, but at least I haven't gotten to the crazed-idiot stage where arguments have less and less founding.
If I ever start to get really-super-bad in the future, you have permission to bonk me or whatever.
Right, and that's a great goal and all, but remember first the mindset of the people commenting about OMG DEY RUIN NARUTO and how they're not likely to grasp that Disney frilling with the storyline (which wouldn't even happen, really) could be the beast thing to happen to the series at all,
and then remember that probably none of these people are going to go back and read the all the comments to see that they're saying the same thing as everyone else over and over.
Fixing stupid is possible. But trying to fix fifty-odd cases at the same time is nuts, and it'll just grate on you having to say identical statements so much that after a while you'll start to get testy without even realising it, and then you end up lambasting someone who just stopped by to make a comment and didn't even realise anything was going on in the first place.
Plus it's a comment box, man. There are better places to try and fix stupid. Pick your battles.
(And like I said, it's not just you. You just came to mind first in that regard because of a remark you made in my presence recently about how you'd feel terrible about actually using the products of your training against someone. The concept of starting fights carries into speech as well. So don't mistake this for me deciding you're an idiot. You're not.)
My basic goal here is to get people to do a little research and maybe think for themselves. I'm not trying to be an asshole, but I do think some of the ignorance going on in some of the more recent news posts is a bit ridiculous and because of that, I might be coming off as a bit of a dick.
I'll see if I can tone it down a little, but really I'm just hoping all the idiocy subsides.
Hmmm, part of me is curious to see what you mean since I haven't looked at the news here in a while, and the other part doesn't care enough to be bothered to go and actually look.

I rarely stumble upon the news nuggets... but yeah... trying to fix stuff in a comment box... Good luck. :P
