My youngest brother says "criss-cross applesauce" all the time. I always correct him, the little punk. It's just "Political Correctness" gone overboard. =/

I can kind of see what you mean about C&C's material starting to sound the same after a while. There's certain songs I single out as excellent, and others I don't really care about.
I appreciate that they've brought a progressive element to mainstream rock music, but they also still do lighter weight songs that are much more pop-ish and that's where they tend to lose me.
What works in their favor is that all their albums are part of a complex storyline and fans actively debate over their meanings.

Oh, right, and I yelled "FREE BIRD" at a roadie doing soundcheck because someone has to be a jerk. (^_^)
I find this funny because someone in the audience of their Arriving Somewhere... DVD shouts out the same thing when they get into the encores, and Steven deadpans "NOT Free Bird." XP
I can kind of sympathize with you about the C&C fans. I consider myself a fan, but more casual and not super-hardcore-crazy like the people at this concert seemed to be. I don't mind a little getting crazy and headbanging, but I don't think I could maintain that level of energy for an entire concert. I'd prefer a PT show over that. I don't care that they don't jump around like madmen. Their visuals more than make up for that.

I actually made it with you in mind.

I like the avatar.
Also give him a Gibbs Slap from me next time he says it. Make sure he knows I sent it.

I'd even rather listen to some things I'm not a big fan of than Miley Cyrus. :P

That and the sort of euphoric emotional element, too, I think. At any rate, I'd certainly rather listen to them than Miley Cyrus.
