Good on you for making a huge effort to change things. It takes guts - I had to so something similar just after I finished high school, so I have some very slight understanding of what led up to this.
I do have one question though. You talk about not even doing the things you actually enjoy. Do you really enjoy those things anymore?

It's certainly a struggle to recognize that you need change let alone actually doing it. It sounds like you've thought this through and want to take a positive step forward. So with that in mind more power to you in that endeavor. I've known many friends who have taken a similar path over the years. It really can be a good option to get going in life.
I fully expect you to stay in contact when you can. We still need to deal with Shou, among other things. :p Plus I know you're going to want to see pictures when the baby comes. Thank goodness for e-mail and other forms of keeping in touch.

Frankly, if this is something you decided for yourself and you think is best for you, then I say Godspeed. In fact, my uncle (iirc) was in the Navy and he turned out pretty okay. :V So go ahead, get your butt into gear and have a grand ol' time. Be sure to take care of yourself and pop into theO every now and then though.

I understand your reasoning and I think it's a really cool thing what you're doing. I mean, teaching yourself discipline and stuff. I don't really know of a lot of people that would do that. Good luck Alla, and stay safe. I really will miss you.

Well, I can understand not liking where you're at due to a long-settled laziness (I have a similar problem, though its also combined with my health concerns), so if you think this is what you need to do to get your life back in gear, I wish you luck in your endeavors.
Imagining theO without a consistent Fubu-presence is depressing, so I hope you DO keep in touch. I also hope you find what you're looking for in the Navy -- we all want you to succeed, even through the GASP AND SHOCK AND ALARM.
So yeah, all that to say, I wish you luck. (I won't be one bit surprised if you're the deputy drill sergeant within a week.)
