Thanks for the answer! I just found out from Sangome too. ^^
Uh... yes, I really don't know who they are. oO Is that bad? I can always look them up on youtube. What are your favorite songs by them? I'll start by listening to what you mention.
oO I don't recognize any of those bands. Oo I'm glad you got lots of nice stuff you like though.
Your basement floods? o_O I trust you have all your stuff put up so water won't get into them when that happens. ^^
Oh! I forgot to ask you last time, but what does ZETSUBO SHITA stand for? oO I tried looking it up, but all I find are links to an anime show and it's not in the dictionary.
I'm not surprised to see you excited over E.S. Posthumus. =P From what I've heard their albums are good stuff. I honestly can't say too much about the others. >_>
Congrats on the addition to your collection though. =P Sounds like you need to fill it out some more. I should do that to mine, it's too centered on one area... kind of.
My father has hundreds of records, but he actually does listen to them from time to time. Just a few weeks ago, he drug me into his office to listen to some Peter Frampton talk box action. He sure did enjoy going to concerts back in the day. (At least that means he never complains about how loud the stereo is. =P)
Feel free to share more of your musical possessions. Might give us a little more insight into your character. ^_~

I'm sure we have it on vinyl somewhere in the house. Both of my parents are huge music people (my father was majoring in it in college), and our entertainment cabinet is literally half-filled with old vinyls that we no longer listen to.
But we were raised very frugally, so I don't add to my personal collection too frequently. For as big a classic rock fan as I am, I have almost nil in my own CD library, and the same goes for big band, metal, my Christian sets of genres, and any newer groups I might take an interest in, such as Imogen Heap and Acroma. I just recently spilled out of my first 72 disc case, and my library is nowhere near the size it should be.
Maybe I'll dedicate a post to an itemisation of my current library, along with a large list of artists/albums I want to get. Hmm.
E.S. Posthumus defines themselves with their name, really. E.S. = Experimental Sounds, according to them, and Posthumus refers to everything gone before. Basically they blend the electronica/synthesised sound with classical choral and orchestral music, sitting closer to the latter than the former.
I'd suggest starting first with their Unearthed album, and then getting Cartographer if you like that. Both are excellent buys, though. Just google them, and I think you can pull up their website pretty quick; and they have links to the two supported places to purchase music there.

Hmm. I'd start by asking your parents about them. If they don't know, we have a serious problem. =P

And this explains why you've been such a hyper bug since the holidays ended, doesn't it?

That music collection is just a sure-fire win... for sure.

The Cartographer sounds very interesting. I am going to need to investigate this one of these days. What kind of music is it?
Be true, be you and of course, be otaku.
