Just a few things. One, your family sounds absoutely nutty, in a good way. =3 And two... I'm getting the impression that college students are forever starving. =P
o_o You’re Internet is weird. I like using youtube and Pandora so that would be really annoying if they didn’t work. -_- I have AIM, I should talk to you sometime.
We had family show up for Easter at our house. My mom made a lot of food and we watched movies and stuff. It was fun. I think you guys had the weirdest conversations. XD
You were out of food? o_o Well I’m glad you have more now.
Of course I'm going to talk about the Biblical reference. The context helps us understand that it's mock humility by fasting that's being warned against. Here's a great excerpt from Insight on the Scriptures:
False Humility. Christians are warned against letting their humility be only on the surface. Anyone who takes delight in a mock humility can become “puffed up without proper cause by his fleshly frame of mind.” A person who is truly humble will not think that the Kingdom of God or entering into it has to do with what one eats or drinks or what one refrains from eating or drinking. The Bible shows that a person may eat or drink or may refrain from partaking of certain things because he feels he should, from a health standpoint or for the sake of conscience. Yet if a person thinks that his having a favorable standing with God depends on whether or not he eats, drinks, or touches certain things or whether or not he observes certain religious days, he does not realize that his actions are “possessed of an appearance of wisdom in a self-imposed form of worship and mock humility, a severe treatment of the body; but they are of no value in combating the satisfying of the flesh.”—Col 2:18, 23; Ro 14:17; Ga 3:10, 11.
False humility can actually result in developing haughtiness in the individual, for he may tend to think he is righteous on his own merit; or he may feel that he is accomplishing his ends, not realizing that he cannot deceive God. If haughtiness develops, he will in time be humbled in a way that he will not enjoy. He will be brought low, and it may be to his own destruction.—Pr 18:12; 29:23.
Powerful stuff. *nod nod*
That Spike quote is priceless. XD
Miss Anonymous: ARE YOU CALLING THE PLIGHT OF PIZZA EVERYWHERE STUPID?!?!? >:O
All is well now that you have food and q-tips. Hahahaha.
I did absolutely nothing today, except work on math homework and my English essay on horseracing. My family had Easter yesterday, and I worked so.. x_x Yeah, yippee.
And I still can't believe AIM is the only thing that works. Usually AIM for me is the first thing to go, followed by MSN, Pandora, etc...
That has got to be annoying. -_- I would go nuts if my Internet did that all the time. You’d think it would be better than that, but apparently not. Though right now ours at the campus is kind of messed up due to that Conflicktor (or something like that) worm. Since Friday they’ve been shutting down sections in an attempt to isolate it.
What’s scary is that they predict it could take up to thirty days to finally clear it out of the school network. o_O I’m just glad I’m on a separate service when I’m at home. I’d hate to be where they were shutting it down.
I don’t know why AIM still works though. I suppose that’s better than nothing but still, I’d be really frustrated if that was all I had.
That’s great that your whole family came to see you. ^_^ It sounds like your conversation was equally as zany too. You’re family sounds like a lot of fun. And hurray for more food and q-tips! XD
I agree with the food thing. It’s all about moderation. There’s nothing wrong with having pizza and other goodies so long as it’s balanced with lots of other foods that are good for you. I like pizza so I’d be sad to give it up.
Hehe, you’re funny when you ramble though. So you should do that more often. ._.
Have fun at the concert. I hope you get a recording of it too. Hmmm, I think Indi knows of a site that has music from different anime shows. But it’s usually through torrents so you probably can’t use it.
Anyway, keep having a good Easter Sunday Sir Allamorph. ^_^
