I'm a pretty big fan of being direct/open, but it's true that what you blog about (unless it's a private blog) is sort of out there for everyone.
I guess that's just the risk everybody takes when it comes to this sort of stuff.
Still, blogs can be a good way to get feedback too. Hinting or no hinting, obvious or vague, it is at least good that people care enough about you to bother responding and offering their views.
Better than than eerie silence I suppose.

I really dislike it when people hint at things. If they're not going to tell you what's going on, then I think it's best to say nothing. Less problems that way.
I agree, unless it's a deal of letting your friends know your frustration is unrelated to them, you don't hint at things unless you're going to be laying it all out. It just leaves things wide open for being misunderstood. Because people will make assumptions, they always do.
I know what you mean. I've had a number of incidents I've felt like blogging about, then decided that detailed descriptions over the internet of such thing would probably reflect badly on me.

I certainly don't find fault with someone indicating they have something bugging them that they can't talk about, if only to let their friends know, hey it's not you and I'm sorry for being grouchy.
Beyond that, hinting just causes more problems than it's worth, especially if part of what you're not talking about, involves someone who will see said post. All the speculation that ends up going on doesn't help either.
I think I know what you are getting at, but I'm not sure. But I do agree with the sentiment? {I hope that's the right word >_<} If you're not going to say what's going on, you don't need to hint at it. People will make guesses and they'll get things wrong. It can start rumors because people are nosy and want to know what something means... I think. oO

The others have already said it and I agree. If you're not going to put it all out there, you don't need to be beating around the bush.

I wholeheartedly agree with Selene. Guessing games are frustrating and nobody likes being strung along. Either spill it, or zip it.

Can't argue with that... XD
Yeah, if people make guesses and think too much, it could mean more trouble than what was originally intended...
