Actually, I expect everyone to miss about the same number of quotes relative to their age and experience. My bone is that the subtitle's quote notes essentially spoonfeeds the heavy stuff to the viewer, while the unsubbed versions, in whatever language, allow for a viewer who might not recognise each and every quotation and still allows them to enjoy the movie, while those who catch the 'easter eggs' are that much more appreciative and are probably capable of grasping the deeper subtexts.
I dislike Cliff and Spark Notes for the same reason. They're useful. But they cheapen the novel they're intended for.
Now I'm wondering what you are working on. Just as I wonder what your father's real reason is for not getting the router already. Either way at least you can use something else to get the material you need so you can access it offline. ^^

Ehh, depends on the quotes. If they're supposedly well known ones, that's one thing. But you can't expect people to be THAT well read.
