Symphonic metal is a lot smoother than death metal. Its usually always a female singing and you can actually understand the words! lol Death metal is a bit too harsh for me :P Like, look up Amaranth by Nightwish!!
hmm.... my friend likes death metal... I'm okay with it, but it's not my favorite. One of her favorite sings is this really pretty blonde girl. It's crazy that she can sing that!!!
I love Symphonic Metal, like Nightwish and Xandria or Blind Guardian. Most of the bands I listen to have a woman singer who has a beautiful voice and metal in the background with a symphony in there.
