I agree. I think that having babies should be an agreement to love them unconditionally. life can be really hard, and no one needs it to be made even harder--especially not by their parents. Home should be a safe place, free of the insecurity and judgment that often comes with more public places. Mine, for me, is not, and too many people have no safe place at all. Everyone should have at least one. Mine is my best friend's house. Though I, myself, am not gay and so have not experienced firsthand the stigma that comes with it, I've been ostracized from a young age by peers and family alike, and I've also seen how it can affect other people, especially if they don't have reliable help, safety, and guidance in their lives. Fortunately for me, I do.
Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.
