Yeah, these fire whirls can definitely be troublesome, but they are ultra rare. Even more rare to capture on a camera.

In Tokyo if I remember right, in 1923 when there was a huge earthquake and problems that followed, an outbreak of fire whirls arose and it meant death of about 37.000 people...

There are actually fire tornadoes, but they are very rare. It is an interesting sight though.^^
