Thanatos would be SO perfect for that! I just posted my review for Thanatos Rising, and he's just fabulous. XD
Basically, our concept includes giving both Pit and Pittoo their own stories that intertwine and connect at the end, with Pit dealing with the Pantheon and Pittoo focusing on Earthly affairs.
And Thanatos runs the item shop. "Come in! Do come in! Everything's for sale today only! ...Except the carpet, I think they said we need to keep that."
My sister and I are actually plotting out a huge concept for a sequel that we're planning on presenting to Nintendo in hopes that they'll consider making one. We're going overboard. XD

There's just so much opportunity with this series. Especially considering the game itself is in an episodic style, it'd translate easily to animation.
