I have poor eyesight too but with glasses I'm just fine. ^^
I'm just really mad at this dub because I think they ruined the voice of my favorite character. XD
I do agree that the voices don't match up perfectly, I just feel like english dub are discriminated against unfairly. And for someone like me, who has poor eyesight; sometimes reading the sub is out of the question. And there seems to be a legion of fans ready to kill anyone who prefers the dub because 'true' fans will only watch a sub. :/
I like the English dub, I have a very good reason too. I’m American, I speak English; therefore it is much easier for me to watch something if I don’t have to read to whole time. Watching the Japanese version is fine and I do watch the Japanese version from time to time, but my first pick will always be English. I am learning Japanese in my spare time and I will watch more anime in Japanese when I know more. It just seems like reading makes me miss a lot. For me, it’s more work to watch in Japanese, and I’m just not willing to put in that much work for something that I use to take my mind off work.
Yeah. hehe. I was reading Black Butler at school one time and couldn't stop laughing at Grell. So funny. I love the scene where the two fight and Grell gets dragged away.
It's indeed different, the plot is better in the manga. But in the anime the characters feel more alive because of the voices and movements. Just check it out.

I've just been reading the manga not sure if I should watch the anime cuz I heard it's a little different but I like japanese voices better because sometimes I'll watch it in both and the English just sounds horrible and their pronunciations of some Japanese words is just off. Like on bleach, I like Ichigo and Rukia's voice and a few others because they almost sound the same as the japanese voice actors.

I can understand that. Sometimes you just have to scratch you head and ask "What where they thinking?"

English isn't my native language and I'm better at writing/reading it than speaking/listening so that why I prefer reading the subs. XD

Yup, same with Kuroshitsuji, I still prefer reading it in real though because if I read manga online my eyes start hurting a bit after a while. XD

Cool. I should do that. That's how I read Kimi ni Todoke cuz it comes out faster online than in the library.
