Interesting thought about the dub actors being used over and over again. I've never really thought about it before, but, yeah, it is a little strange to hear a voice you associate with one character come from another; but that's what's fun about it too, because when the characters' personalities are different, then you think, "that's so-and-so?!" It becomes part of the adventure. ^^

Most of my first anime were dubs (and I didn't even know that they were originally in Japanese). I recently watched a clip of the original Sailor Moon just for kicks. I couldn't believe how different some of the voices were!

You're right about the one you hear first is the one you fall in love with. Here's a ridiculous case of that: I watched the first dub of Dragonball Z and I liked the voices. Then, after replaying half the series a million times, they decided to dub "new" episodes. And they changed the voices of the entire cast. That really got to me. To this day, I don't know what the original Japanese voice actors sound like.

Now I watch mostly subbed anime. I actually prefer it. Mostly because it's kind of how the creators intended it to be. And also because they use the same people again and again for the dubs. Now don't get me wrong; some dub voice actors are pretty talented. It's just a little weird hearing the voice that you associate with one character coming out of another. Just my thoughts.
