Fullmetal Alchemist/Brotherhood

Seriously, I really need to keep update on this world more often. Sheesh, wtf is wrong with me.

Anyway, hi! This post is going to be a review of one of my fav anime of all time, Fullmetal Alchemist!

The Elric brothers, 11 year old Edward and 10 year old Alphonse live in Resembool. After their father, Van Hohenheim left the family when Ed and Al were very young, leaving the brothers to discover their father's alchemy books and soon, they learned a bit about alchemy and how to do alchemy themselves. Alchemy is based on the statement, "You cannot gain something unless you sacrifice something in return." Their mother was surprised when she saw that they could do a bit of alchemy at their age. The brothers loved their mother but then, their mother grew ill and passed away. That's when a few months later, Ed and Al committed the taboo in alchemy; human transmutation. They tried to bring their mother back but it failed, causing Ed to lose his leg and Al to lose his entire body but Ed sacrificed his arm to tie his soul to a body of armor. From then on, they traveled around their country, Amestris, in search of a way to get their bodies/limbs back.

Fullmetal Alchemist is an original story, but Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is a story that follows the manga. If you watch Fullmetal Alchemist, be sure to watch the movie, The Conqueror of Shambala afterward because it's the continuation of it!
