You know, there are alot of people who are falsely accused, how is Kira supposed to know the difference? He wouldn't. He would just expect them to all be evil just because they were in jail. Kira also doesnt know why each person did what they did. Maybe someone committed a murder, to save someones else's life? What if the court systems didnt see it like that, and decided to put the person in jail, even though their intentions were pure?
Kira only knows the information that is directly in front of him. He doesn't look at the 'gray' so to speak.

I'll be honest with you, Zero WAS emo. But mainly only during the whole beginning of the story. I briefly didn't like him because he was acting like the whole world was against him...when I felt he should've tried harder! He had rejected it THAT long...why did he have to start crying and whining!! I'm just a bit cruel in that respect. XD Especially since he was treating Yuuki REALLY BAD AND I don't deal with the whole, "Kill me, because I'm worthless" You know? So yeah, Zero is WAAAAAY better NOW, but up until that whole Shizuka thing...he was totally acting pathetic! *shakes head*
