10: The Romantic Climax of this part of our Legacy
Later that night, Haruhi walked onto the balcony of the hotel room, where Kyon was gazing at the meteor shower.
"You wanted to see me?" she asked. Kyon fell to on knee. Haruhi's heart was beating rapidly.
"Haruhi Suzumiya, I know this is out of the blue, unexpected, and maybe even unwanted. But to tell you the bluntly put truth, I've fallen. no, I'm not falling anymore, I've landed. I love you. I always have, and I will until the sun burns out. You make my heart pound like a jackrabbit. It's kind of irrational to say this, but you scare the crap out of me. I don't know whether to love you, or fear you. You're hard, and cold, but last night, I caught you at your softest, weakest point."
Haruhi blushed, and tried her best to face him.
"That was real?" Kyon grabbed her waist, and began to waltz with her. The two spun for a while, before he explained.
"You were dreaming. You needed me. What were you dreaming about?" Tears welled up in her eyes and she looked away.
"I was pregnant, and I got shot. I was screaming about losing my baby." She buried her head in Kyon's chest. "I'm scared." Kyon held her for a moment.
"It's ok, you stubborn idiot, there's nothing to be afraid of, it wasn't real." He began to kiss up her arm.
"I'm pissed that Itsuki got your first kiss."
Haruhi placed her hands on Kyon's chest, and began to unbutton the first button of his shirt.
"That's true, but I can give you my first something else." She grabbed his hand and led him into her bedroom.
"Something else? I like the sound of that," Kyon smiled. He kissed her, and then one thing led to another.
Mikuru looked looked down at the wedding band, it dissolved from her finger. She looked at Itsuki, who smiled that, plastic smile, as if wishing he was with Kyon, and Yuki just began to cry. She had loved Kyon, because he helped her step out. Her heart was now beating its own way now, but for the first time, it was breaking.
Yuki was glad that he was happy though, he deserved this happiness. She was feeling happy, and sad at the same time. A silver tear fell onto her finger, and she turned to Itsuki.
"What is this wet? It is no a raindrop," she said, holding her finger to him.
"It's a tear." Yuki nodded.
"Tear, cry, wet, sad....breaking."
