I guess I do tend to sell myself short sometimes. You're absolutely right about that. Thanks for clarifying the proportions/anatomy thing. It's been a long time since I've taken an art class.
Call it karma. Call it luck. Me, I just don't give a... BOUNCE!
I feel that you're giving yourself too little credit. I find that the proportions are fine and the anatomy is just a little off (thin line between the two terms). Think off it this way, body Proportions are like the aesthetic harmony and look, which is subjective. Otherwise, body Anatomy is the objective and direct look. It is possible to have a character with correct proportions and also be incorrect anatomy-wise and still look legit.
The dynamics of the pose is great. The eyes only look over exaggerated because you're using line art to place in the detailing, which will work itself out when shaded/colored. Overall, very good.
How cool is that? I love being able to see your first attempt at drawing anime (wish I could find mine, but I have no clue what happened to it ). Thanks for sharing. I think it looks really good myself.

Thanks, Toya. I don't see a whole lot of my current style in this drawing, but it's interesting to know that you do.

Thank you! I keep practically all my old artwork... even from when I was a little kid. Maybe I should scan and post that someday.

Thanks. I guess it's pretty good for someone who had no idea what they were doing.
