Ah once I tried my copics on really glossy paper and it didn't work as well. It sort of dried on top of the paper and when I tried to layer colours, it just mixed all together Dx But I'm sure most any special marker paper would work. Rag paper is working the best for me! I had the same trouble though when I bought Copics! I didn't even know that I needed different paper at first, and researching it was super confusing. I haven't gone to find a video yet, but I'll get one asap^^
Ooo, thank you Jen! That helps a lot :D I was just curious because I've used this kind of glossy paper before and it said it was marker paper so I was wondering if it actually made a difference or something.
I cn tell that you like to keep your things nice, so I wanted to warn you about it before you tried it, but A Copic CB or a Prisma CB does blend ball point pen pretty good.
Yeah!
Ah I see! Alright, I'll keep that in mind. Knowing how nervous I am with my markers, I'd probably freak out if I got it dirty xD Thankyou for telling me! <3
they should rename it or something. The CB does a good job blending pen, but it makes the marker dry out faster then normal and also it gets the tip very dirty, so I don't know if you would want to do that. I don't really mind with my CB, but it does ruin it.
No not a stupid question at all!! Paper is really important... I use Borden&Riley 100s Smooth Cotton Comp (100% rag paper), but I've not researched it too much. I did post something about paper at the bottom of my Copic intro. I should do a separate post on it though. I know one thing: no printer paper or water colour paper for copics! It just doesn't work with them! I'll go see if i can find a paper video for you :D
I know! Like, its called the colourless BLENDER but its not supposed to blend... ? lol xD
Oh cool! I've never used it on pen before! That sounds so neat!
Man, I know what you mean. I looked in to them a yearish ago and was really disappointed to see how much it would be to get even a simple set. But yeah, the art is beautiful ^^ So I might just start looking at them again~
Oh yeah... Stupid question sorry, but do you use different paper with them?
Yeah, I know what you mean! Copics are very fun to use though! I was afraid of using them at first, but they are great :D Just a tad expensive, but SOOOO worth it in my opinion!

so that is what the the CB is for, I thought that it blended your copics, but it doesn't, well that explains a lot!
I actaully ended up using it to smudge ball point pen, it blends the pen really nice! but it makes the marker dry out fast.
This marker is a must-have in my opinion! At first, I was disappointed to hear it doesn't blend like how I thought. But it does a lot of other things and really can help with it comes to keeping your art clean! It will make some cool effects too! I think I should try using it more for effects, since I rarely do. For blending, it isn't the best. I'll get a tutorial up soon for how I blend with my markers. I just posted up some videos of the colourless marker and some more info! Check it out if you didn't see it^^
