Good luck with everything! Hopefully everyone in America treats you right. :)
Haha, you know, I cannot even imagine myself doing something like this right now, as sad as that sounds. The farthest I have been from home is Florida, and that was with family, of course. I have never even been out of the country (we don't have any family in Mexico that I am aware of ...).
I am not a religious person, but I am somewhat sympathetic toward religion because everyone has to believe in something. People have to have faith in something. In the absence of religion, most of my faith is placed in humanity itself, which is, er, quite difficult at times, as I am sure you can imagine, haha.
Well technically that would be, first stop: Salt Lake City, Utah, followed up by then heading about 30 miles south to Provo, Utah. =P (just saying)
But yes, you'll get the colder weather, right now it's all of 3 Celsius so yeah. It has kind of given us rain/snow in the valley, but it's not quite cold enough to actually stick.
What I find odd is the idea of Christmas with no snow at all. o_O We may not always get snow in the valley, but the mountains always do, without exception. And the MTC is pretty close to the base of the mountains instead of being further out in the city proper.
Anyway, Utah has changed over the years and it's estimated that the population is only 62% LDS, but that's still a lot of members in the same area.
Regardless, it should be quite the adventure for you. Coming to the US and all.
