That is so annoying! How could they just kick Misty out?! What were they thinking?! Didnt they know the show would just go down from there. I was actually watching the Latios and Latias movie a few nights ago ^-^
I'd love to read your fanfic if you put it online! It'll probably btter than the show itself
I've actually been on sort of a Pokemon kick lately because I'm working on a huge fan fiction project to "revise" the anime and make sort of an AU.
But yeah, the writers were clearly setting things up for Ash and Misty to become a couple. And then some idiot producer decided to chuck the whole thing and write Misty out.
I know! She came back for like an episode and that was it! I thought they'd end up together and everything and I was so dedicated to that couple! Maybe she'll come back in the very end and they'll finally be together!
I can't believe you guys are so hyped up about this *Is secretly hyperventilating in her room in frustrated agreement* lol
It's been so long since I last watched it I don't even know how far I'm behind. I stopped that first season that they introduced May and her brother. I always assumed that Misty would come back. You know, like how Brock left for a season (don't remember which) then came back later? I guess she didn't though. That's STUPID!! Everyone knows she and Ash were meant to be together!
I KNOW RIGHT! (Can you believe we're getting so hyped up about this?) always thought they'd definitely end up together because they were always bickering but somehow seemed to really love eachother and I just decided "Yep! They'll be a couple for sure" I was so angry when Misty left I refused to watch the show anymore (although I did on occasions).
YES! And there was so much potential there for a romance between her and Ash. They had been hinting at it since the Orange Island arc. But nope, they flushed it all down the drain and replaced Misty with that airhead, May.
Ahahahaha that seriously made me burst out laughing because its true. They killed Ash's character. Good thing I have the first season on tape lol or Pokemon would be totally dead to me
Yes so I'm not the only one! I actually got into it back in 1999/2000 too. Those were the days. And I remember being so proud of my cards, especially the shiny ones. Pokemon was so amazing in every single way. It was my first anime too
I totally agree too. It started to go down when they changed all the voices. Now even the stories kind of stink. But the originals were always fun and interesting!

I got into Pokemon back when it first came out in the third grade. (1999/2000). I watched the show, had the T-shirts and toys, collected the cards, rented the games, bought the movie soundtrack -- I even made up my own Pokemon! In fact, it was one of the first shows I actually knew as "anime" (though we had Speed Racer and one episode of Teknoman in our house before I even knew what anime was). So, yeah, Pokemon was a big part of my childhood. :D
Ahahahaha I actually do remember doing that. "Come on Pikachu! Just a little more! You can do it! Dont let Ash down!" Thats pretty much what it sounded like ^-^
And how anxious you'd feel when you thought Ash wasn't going to win a fight? How much you begged his pokémon to keep on fighting just a little longer? Yeah, that was pretty much me.

Well I've done a few Pokemon fanfics of this little AU of mine. All of them are on Fan Fiction,Net and a few of them are also here on TheO.
The one you might want to start with is Trial of the Phoenix.

Well one of their biggest mistakes was getting rid of Misty.

And look at one they've done to Ash. He used to have potential. Now he seems to have a Homer Simpson level IQ.

I definitely remember when the Pokemon anime was good. But when they started the Hoenn saga it just started to go down the tubes.
