Haha, I didn't find out Tomokazu Sugita is Subaru until after I finished X. Totally did a double take after realizing that.
Weirdly enough, my favorite male seiyuu are those with distinct voices (Jouji Nakata, Keiji Fujiwara, Yuichi Nakamura, etc.), while a lot of my favorite female seiyuu are those with really flexible voices. Houko Kuwashima, for instance, is someone whose voice I can almost never discern upon hearing it. I can never believe the same person is Tomoyo (Clannad), Medusa (Soul Eater), Clare (Claymore), Kagura (Azumanga Daioh), Quon (RahXephon) and Satsuki (X). I mean, wtf srsly. Too much talent.
Maybe I should make a seiyuu love post some time. Might be fun. :D

...Which reminds me that Koyasu Takehito voiced a main character in Toward the Terra, too. I love how a lot of the seiyuu I like often act together in the same series. ^^
EDIT: To be honest, for English, I really only know big-name people, like Johnny Yong Bosch. ^^;
Have you ever heard this? It's esp. amusing if you try to imagine him sounding like this in-character. xD

The things you notice, eh? ^^ I'm still better at recognizing English VAs, although I have been able to catch on to some seiyuu whom I recognize from other shows.

The last time I watched X (TV) was, like... when I was thirteen, haha. And Subaru was my favorite! So when I found out, I was just like O_O HOW.
And wow, I def. wouldn't have thought that the person who voiced Quon also voiced Clare. ^^;
