Just wanted to say that I really appreciated this comment. I know that a lot of other people my age are probably feeling the same as me and it's nice to have someone who empathizes. :)
And, don't feel bad. It's not because you never had AWFUL problems in your life that you don't have the right to be sad because of what happened to you. I also think that your optimistic point of view helps people. You don't have to suffer a lot to be able to help others solving their problems. Maybe you are even more realist !
Don't feel hypocrite, it's good to be like you are and do your best to keep that part. If, one day, something bad happen to you (but I wish it will never!), it definitely will help you to be a kind heart ! At least, it's helping me to be a kind heart and to have kind hearts friends :)
For being afraid of being graduated... Well, I don't know yet, I'm done with uni next year but I don't feel afraid yet... But some of my friends are. I guess it's different for everyone.

At that stage in your life, being realistically optimistic is a virtue, I think. Even if it feels like it's the only thing you can offer right now, it's like a gift whose value is gradually revealed in hindsight.

Adulthood hits everyone differently, but it comes eventually, and we realize the things that seemed so big in our lives before are pretty small comparatively.
I'm sorry to hear about your friend. I can sympathize with her totally. -3-
Oh my. That is crazy about your friend. :( I'm so sorry. Wow. What kind of illness?? My goodness...i sure hope that she is better and will continue to heal.
*hugs* Well, I can tell you that I'm going through the same feelings, and I'm older than you by a bit. Since I JUST graduated college...yeah...it's a big thing. I can completely relate to all of your feelings right now, it's crazy!!! D:
#1: I'm always the one people come to with their problems and ask for advice. I'm the shoulder to cry on. Well, at least online shoulder.
#2: The graduation thing.
#3: I haven't had any SERIOUSLY REAL OMG LIFE-ALTERING problems as yet.
#4: Reality is setting in about growing up.
#5: I'm super sensitive, fragile, naive...like you mentioned your heart being porcelain. Yeah.
In other words...I understand. .__. I'm always giving advice to people, trying to cheer them up, giving them all this positive info and such...but do I follow it myself? I don't really know. It's easy to advise others and tell them how to feel, but it's difficult to actually follow through yourself. :( I know completely. But let me say this...what we're going through, how we're feeling...it's a blessing. As you said, nothing terrible has happened yet in our lives! Nothing totally f-ed up, nothing to make reality truly hit home. So be THANKFUL. Truly be thankful. Don't feel bad that nothing major has happened to you, instead keep thanking God (if you believe in Him!) for each day you're alive and have been problem-free. I know it's kinda hard. It's hard to grow up, and it's hard to be around people that have had real life troubles...and not feel guilty somewhat. But you really have to.
You gotta try to feel good about these things....because before you know it, you WILL be a "grown-up" and you'll be going through midlife crises, wishing you were back at this point! Worrying about not having major problems isn't such a bad problem to have, you know? Lol. So don't feel like a hypocrite. You're trying to help others with what you have, and those are your feelings and such. You're able to approach problems with optimism because of how your life has been so far, so be thankful. :)
I mean, I've had some problems...health problems...I still do that I wish never existed. They're making many aspects of my life heck, but at the same time, I am grateful that I'm not having problems like some others do. For being 22, I am pretty darn problem-free. ^^; I don't drink, smoke, have sex lol...I've never dated anyone. So I don't have those things to get in my way. No unplanned pregnancies! XDDD But that doesn't mean I can't help others that may have had these problems (like probs with boyfriends or whatever). So don't you dare stop being you and helping others!! Graduation will come and go, and then you will go on with your life. Don't worry about it yet. Take it one day at a time and just go with the flow...I know I have trouble with that. I hate thinking about the future...me being an unemployed college grad lol. But my mom keeps telling me to take it one day at a time.
Sorry, this is really long. D: It's just you were thinking similar things to me lol. *hugs* Take care!!
It's hard. I readily admit I'm still a kid and know that my life is not nearly as hard as some of my friends, my best friend being near the top of that list.
I think, though, that we all need to have our "moments", the times when we freak out and get that feeling that the world is against us; typical angst. If we don't, we're liable to have a meltdown, no matter how small our problems may seem.

Ain't nothing wrong with seeing that life is beautiful. The colours are all brighter both ways, whether they're dark or light.
It's not so bad. And I'm an old man, so you know there's something to my saying that.
I mean, I'm not Timey old, but y'know . . .
